Pause before you share a code.

A one-time code can protect your account. Never enter it into a page you reached from an unexpected message.

SPOT THE WARNING

A suspicious request might say…

UNEXPECTED MESSAGE

“Your account will be locked. Reply with your password or one-time code to keep it open.”

Why is this a warning sign?

Urgency and requests for passwords or one-time codes are common signs of a scam. Do not reply or follow its links.

BEFORE YOU ACT

Take three safe steps

  1. 01

    Stop

Do not enter a password, account number, or one-time code on a page opened from an unexpected message.

  2. 02

    Check independently

Open the official app or type the known website address yourself. Do not use the message’s link or phone number.

  3. 03

    Report the message

Use your organization’s established support or security channel if something seems wrong.
